Employee Relations Officer

Core Functions:

To exercise leadership and oversee the work and assignments of the Employee Relations. Plans, directs and co-ordinates the day-to-day work and program of activities relevant to employee welfare and relations services under the general supervision of the Head of Section, Policy & Compensation

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Keeping abreast with pertinent laws, regulations, and precedents; and innovative approach or handling of employee relations and welfare matters and alternative dispute arbitration and resolution methods; explaining to employees Kahramaa and governmental rules, regulations, and procedures.

2. Pertaining the formulation or organization of programs and activities designed to boost employee morale and welfare services, incentives and recognition programs; verification of head or sole family supporter claims by Qatari employees and the like; researching on workers' feelings on matters affecting their morale, motivation, and efficiency; extending assistance to expatriate involved in police matters.

3. Formulates and communicates to employees of policies on discipline; administration of a proactive counseling strategy, e.g. in attendance issues; investigation related to of suspension, termination with cause, and similar other matters; advising on appropriate disciplinary or other corrective techniques that are effective for a range of conduct and performance problems, etc.; carrying out of disciplinary actions when necessary, and prepares necessary reports and correspondence.

4. Investigates litigations of work-related accidents and the preparation of reports and recommendations; collaboration with police or medical facilities that have cognizance on such matters.

5. Pertains to proactive resolution of employee grievances within the framework of Kahramaa HR policy; representing Kahramaa before third parties, the Ministry of Labor, or any quasi-judicial bodies on cases involving specific cases of employee claims

6. Performs activities pertaining to end of service administrative processes and actions including the administration of a program of exit interviews; collaboration with local law enforcement entities on police, civil and criminal cases involving expatriate employees for facilitating their employment termination and final departure-travel formalities as may be required.

7. Performs other related duties and responsibilities or as may be assigned by higher authorities.

Qualification Requirements: (Minimum Requirements)

Education & Training (e.g. BS in Electrical Engineering, post-secondary secretarial training, etc) :

B Degree in HR, Administration or Labor Law

Job Experience (e.g.: 5-year experience in the relevant field of work)

Minimum of 6 years experience in a HR related field.

Physical Requirements:
Physical Demand of the Work, Medically fit

Work Environment, Work is normally performed in a typical office environment with air conditioning
