Senior Transmission Planning Engineer

Core Functions
To provide Technical support to the department regarding all transmission planning issue and to coordinate and supervise the Transmission group functioning to ensure implementation of the set policy and strategies

Major Duties and Responsibilities

1. Organizes industrial demand forecast activities.

2. Determines transmission networks expansion requirements.

3. Determines data collection requirement for different studies.

4. Coordinates communication with consultants with regard to studies and investigation under their contracts.

5. Coordinates communication with bulk consumers regarding their interface schemes.

6. Communicates at Senior Engineers’ level with other authorities to collect data and to expedite responses

7. Carries out budgetary estimate

8. Attends to technical supervision of staff in the transmission group.

9. Performs other related duties as needed upon request by the immediate supervisor.

Qualification Requirements: (Minimum Requirements)
Education & Training (e.g. BS in Electrical Engineering, post-secondary secretarial training, etc) :

B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, 6 Month Training in Planning.

Job Experience (e.g.: 5-year experience in the relevant field of work)

10 Years (Minimum) experience in the relevant field..

Nature of Supervision Received
(e.g. very close where supervision and instructions are continually provided in every step of the work/process and the outcome of the work is inspected/reviewed; or work is reviewed in conformance to established guidelines/procedures; or, operates under broad policy guidelines; etc.)

Work is reviewed in conformance to established guidelines / procedures.

KAHRAMAA policy circulars & documents and Managers / Head of Section verbal & written instructions

• Good knowledge of Arabic Language is necessary.
• Communication & good reports writing skills are essential.
• Good in the S,R and W of English
