Core Functions
Assist in technical matters in preparation of the Annual Budget for distribution and ensures that materials are available as per approved standards. Active participation in the revision of standards and specifications in time with the latest technological developments. Technical evaluation of Tenders

Major Duties and Responsibilities

1. Coordinates and prepares the annual budget with all the departments and controls the expenditure through the year.
2. Actively participates in the provisioning of the standards and specifications with the latest technology developments.
3. Prepares the tender documents for major material items required by the Distribution department.
4. Technically evaluates the tenders.
5. Inspects the materials upon arrival at the warehouse.
6. Periodic inspection/surprise check of materials supplied by contractors and customer financed projects.
7. Actively participates in the technical work for special committees such as the Meter Stockiest evaluation.
8. Periodic revision of Costing Schedule for Planning Engineers.
9. Performs other related duties as needed upon request by the immediate supervisor.
10. Monthly and quarterly reporting of progress and KPI.

Supervisory Responsibility

Supervises the Materials Controller and Senior Clerk

Qualification Requirements: (Minimum Requirements)
Education & Training (e.g. BS in Electrical Engineering, post-secondary secretarial training, etc) :

Degree in Electrical Engineering

Job Experience (e.g.: 5-year experience in the relevant field of work)

8 Years related experience.

Nature of Supervision Received
(e.g. very close where supervision and instructions are continually provided in every step of the work/process and the outcome of the work is inspected/reviewed; or work is reviewed in conformance to established guidelines/procedures; or, operates under broad policy guidelines; etc.)

Operates within well-defined procedures.

Applicable Guidelines / Manuals Required

International standards, technical specifications, test procedures and quality control procedures.

• Should be abreast with the latest technology developments for power Distribution
• Familiar with international standards regarding electrical equipment
• Reasonable knowledge of budgeting and accounting principals.
• Good in the S,R and W of English.
• Computer literate and knowledge of ERP system.
