Senior Econometrician/Senior Financial Analyst

Description:
- Preparation of econometric forecasts of short and long-term electricity and water consumption
- Assist in tariff and cost of service studies as required and develop appropriate recommendations
- Conduct cost benefit studies of tariff reforms
- Develop and maintain forecasting models
- Research and analysis of customer characteristics, behaviour and attitudes
- Provide analysis to assist in negotiations power and water purchase contracts
- Assess the implications of tariff reform on macroeconomic parameters and customer sectors
- Prepare periodic reports/studies/briefing papers pertaining to demand, supply and tariffs within Qatar and international comparisons/benchmarks
- Enhance the financial models that provide forecasts
- Work with and supervise consultants
Qualifications & experience:
- Degree in Economics preferably at post-graduate level with major in econometrics, macroeconomics or quantitative economics
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience preferably in utilities.
Excellent English speaking, reading & report writing skills are essential.
