Coating Inspector Engineer

  • Undertakes and supervises the inspection of painting, coating, insulation, fire proofing and surface preparation jobs as per the QP refinery specification and international standards. Prepare the paint and coating specification for approval based on the performance and compatibility.
  • Inspects the painting and coating execution jobs on the contracts and attends each level of inspection. Follows the painting schedule and plans for the execution of annual painting maintenance. Participates in the painting, coating and insulation activities for the project jobs.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • BSc. Engineering or equivalent in metallurgical/ Chemical Engineering
  • 7 years experience in Refinery, Gas and Oil, Petrochemical or Petrol related industries.
  • Certified in NACE CIP 2 or British Gas or equivalent certification
  • Knowledge of Painting/ insulation codes and standards
  • Good communication/interpersonal skills
  • Project execution and management
  • Knowledge of contract preparation and contract administration

Inspection Engineer

  • To direct, manage and control all the activities of assigned personnel in order to maintain the Asset Integrity of Stationery Equipment, Piping and Structure.
  • Administer, organize and control the assigned Inspection activities with required Quality Control, Quality Assurance &* Technical Proficiency to achieve and exceed the set targets of productivity and profitability with the highest level of plant and personnel safety.
  • To ensure optimum manpower and and resource utilization for all existing on-stream, planned and unplanned Shutdown jobs as well as well future projects.
  • To plan and execute all jobs as per approved plan.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • BSc. Engineering or equivalent Mechanical Engineering
  • 8 years experience in the Oil & GAs industry
  • ASNT level II in NDT(as minimum requirement)
  • Technical knowledge of international codes and standards
  • Computer literate in appropriate software

Senior Inspection Management System Engineer

  • Undertake the responsibility of functioning of Inspection management system and maintain and control the various operational capabilities of the system.
  • Work as the interface between the inspection and the information system and play an important role in integrating the inspection concepts with the system requirement and analysis.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • BSc or equivalent in Mechanical Engineer, IT
  • Registered as a chartered engineer through relevant institution
  • 12 years experience in Refinery, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical industry
  • Minimum of 6 years experience in the Inspection and Corrosion Field
  • Minimum of 6 years experience in operation of Inspection Management system and corrosion monitoring system
  • Relevant qualification in Inspection practices and Control
  • Certification in Computer software programming, networking, ERP(SAP), operating systems and database software
  • Knowledge of NDT techniques and Inspection policies and procedures
  • Multidisciplinary management experience


Senior Business Planning Engineer

  • Analysis of the Refinery competitive strengths and weaknesses
  • Develop and monitor Refinery business plans and instigate business improvement opportunities across the directorate
  • Develop Balance score card in the Refinery

Required Skills/Experience:

  • BSc in Engineering discipline
  • 10 years technical and business experience in the oil and gas, refining, LNG petrochemical industry, with proven experience in QPR planning, and in conducting financial analysis and economic feasibility studies.
  • Computer literacy involving the use of computerized project planning software and SAP integrated modules
  • Skills/practical ability in QPR planning activities & strategic planning & perspective
  • A combination of both business & technical abilities
  • Knowledge in the design & monitoring of performance indicators
  • Leadership skills


Senior Budget & Cost Control Engineer

  • Preparation of operating, capital and other budgets as per the guidelines for all the departments of the refinery Directorate
  • Preparation and analysis of monthly financial performance report for QP Refinery giving key information such (gross margin, net profit, profit & loss, product wise sale, crude cost, routine expenses, etc)
  • To ensure cost control by effectively analysing the actual costs with the budget and help management to take corrective action.
  • To monitor budget over runs and process supplementary budgets for management approval.
  • Control PR expenditure in the SAP workflow in the company Refinery.
  • Control of contract expenditure in SAP workflow in the Refinery
  • Participate ion review of refinery performance and refinery business plan preparations
  • To ensure that the changes in financial systems are effectively implemented by the Refining Directorate

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Graduate University Degree in Accounting /Economics
  • 10 years experience in oil and gas industry with at least 5 years in handling cost and budget activities

The duties require excellent co-ordination with all the Department Managers and Section heads of the Refining Directorate as well as other Directorates. Broad understanding is required of the business and its implications on the company as a whole. Excellent communication, analytical and persuasive skills. High level interpretation of financial, economical and technical data.


Senior Mechanical Engineer (HVAC)

  • Ensure smooth operation and maintenance of the HVAC plant and equipment installed within the operation area of the refinery.
  • Troubleshooting and expert advise on HVAC issues.
  • Monitor functioning/performance of the HVAC plant and equipment to avoid any major breakdown effecting the operation of the facilities.
  • Perform conceptual engineering for the new/alteration work of HVAC and approve technical submittals/design and supervise testing/ commissioning of the equipment.
  • To train Qatari staff in the operation and maintenance of HVAC system in the Refinery.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • BSc in Mechanical Engineering
  • 10 years experience in supervision of installation, testing, commissioning and operation/ maintenance of HVAC system in Major Oil & Gas industrial units, preferably refinery.
  • Understanding of the planning/design concepts of HVAC system for control buildings, sub-stations, warehouses and laboratories
  • Knowledge and application of relevant international and local codes and standardS for HVAC works, particularly BOCA, ASHRAE, ASME, ANSI, AWWA, ADC, ASTM, AMCA, NFPA, NEMA, SMACNA, AFBMA, AMCA, CIBSE, UL, etc
  • Familiarity and hands-on experience in the installation and maintenance of instrumentation/controls including thermostats, programmable logic controllers, humidistats, damper operators, control panels, relays, etc. for monitoring and control of the HVAC system.
  • Computer literate in relevant softwares
  • Professional membership of a recognized engineering society.
  • Good spoken and written english skills.
  • Analytical skills

Senior Projects Engineer - Civil

  • Undertake medium to high complex Project activities in the Operational and Non-Operational areas.
  • Liaison with the company Onshore Engineering and with other Refinery Departments for Refinery related civil projects acting as the refinery Focal Point.
  • Plan and prepare Statement of Requirements(SOR)Project Initiation Note (PIN) and Plant Change Request (PCR) related to Civil Projects.
  • Promote the development of Qatari Staff.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Bsc Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • 10 years engineering experience (5 of project engineering experience in O&G sector)
  • Leadership and team building skills
  • Project management skills
  • Proven structural design skills (concrete & steel)
