Head Systems Engineer, Major Projects Feasibility Studies

Experience and Expertise:

  • Minimum of 12 years experience in ICT environment, with at least 5 years of demonstrated project management and/or supervisory experience in an Oil and Gas company to provide direction and expertise in the assessment of the full implication of proposed Major Projects that have a Corporate-wide business and financial impact.

    Candidate will direct the preparation of related feasibility studies, business cases, project charters, etc. for proposed Major IT-enablement projects and will be responsible for conducting presentations to QP Senior Management for the purposes of obtaining required project approvals. Candidate is required to possess excellent people management, problem solving, persuasion, negotiation and decision making skills.

  • Bachelors or Masters level degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field

  • Certification in project management tools and methodologies such as PMI’s Project Management methodology or PRINCE2 (PRojects IN Controlled Environments)

  • Experienced in managing and executing multiple high value ICT projects, through contracts and/or internal resources, on time and within budget

  • In depth knowledge and extensive experience of Corporate strategic planning and execution, Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, portfolio/program/project management and service level management

  • Expert in preparing and documenting feasibility studies business cases, project charters, etc. for Major IT-enablement projects

  • Experienced with Change Management Board

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills and presentation skills with the ability to communicate recommendations as appropriate to customers, contractors, and Senior Management

  • Experience in complex sizing, resource estimates, scope and requirements for a variety of projects

  • Ability to perform Root Cause and Decision Analysis, Analysis of Alternatives, Risk Management and System Design Concept Validation

  • Ability to interpret written requirements and technical specification documents.


Systems Engineer, Major Projects Feasibility Studies

Experience and Expertise:

  • Minimum 6 years of related experience with direct involvement in the preparation of feasibility studies for proposed Major IT-enablement projects. Candidate will work in close collaboration with the stakeholders to analyse business requirements and prepare feasibility studies for proposed Major IT-enablement projects as appropriate.

  • Bachelors or Masters level degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field

  • Certification in project management tools and methodologies such as PMI’s Project Management methodology or PRINCE2 (PRojects IN Controlled Environments)

Systems Engineer, Software Quality Assurance

Experience and Expertise:

  • Minimum 6 years of related experience in implementing and improving quality assurance practices and procedures, test plans, test cases, continuous process improvement and other QA assessments for delivered applications throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The candidate should have extensive experience in interpreting business requirements to detailed testing scenarios. Certification in Software Quality (ISO, CMMI, ITIL or COBIT) is an added advantage.

  • Bachelors or Masters level degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field

  • Certification in project management tools and methodologies such as PMI’s Project Management methodology or PRINCE2 (PRojects IN Controlled Environments)
