Head of IT Strategy & Architecture

The Head of IT Strategy & Architecture is responsible for the development of the Corporate ICT Department’s overall strategies, strategic planning, objectives, principles, and tactics relating to the information systems and technologies that the Corporation uses.  The head defines the target state of information systems and technology within the Corporation and delivers the subsequent planning and enterprise architectures frameworks needed to achieve the target state.

Candidates must have a minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in an enterprise ICT environment, with at least 5 years of demonstrated strategy management and enterprise architecture development experience.

Experience and Expertise:

  • Bachelors or Masters level degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or an appropriate Engineering/Business field.

  • Relevant certifications and experience; preferably in direct application to the Oil and Gas sector.

  • Excellent knowledge in emerging technologies, systems, applications and processes for establishing scalable ICT architecture frameworks inline with corporate immediate and long term business objectives.

  • Excellent experience and proven record in developing/implementing ICT strategic plans, and establishing ICT enterprise architecture frameworks and blueprints in reference to industry standard models, governance frameworks and best practices and inline with organisation business objectives.

  • Excellent Experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS) and establishment of related processes, policies and procedures.

  • Excellent communication, problem solving, persuasion, negotiation, and decision making skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to communicate concepts as appropriate to managements, staff, customers, and contractors.


IT Strategy & Architecture Strategist

The IT Strategy and Architecture strategist plays key role in development and implementation of the Corporate ICT Department’s overall strategies, strategic plans objectives and tactics relating to the information systems and technologies that the Corporation uses.  The strategist develops and delivers planning and technical/application architecture frameworks and methodologies needed to achieve objectives.

Candidates must have a minimum of 9 years of progressive experience in an enterprise ICT environment, with at least 4 years of demonstrated strategy management and enterprise architecture development experience.
