Provide professional advice and efficient services with respect to:
providing legal opinion to all the corporation’s departments
review of all agreements and contracts to ensure compliance with the Qatari laws and regulations
drafting of legal briefs and submissions for presentation to the courts and different government departments
representing the corporation before the courts and arbitration tribunals
drafting memoranda and articles of association and follow up of incorporation procedures of companies in which the corporation is a shareholder
Education
JD or LLB, excellent command of Arabic and good command of English
Must be a qualified legal practitioner
Education/training in both civil and common law
Experience
10-12 years general legal practise in preparing legal opinions and legal briefs and in court-room advocacy up to and including the court of appeals level. Education and training in both civil and common law is required and previous experience in the oil & gas industry and/or with financial institutions will be an advantage
Senior Counsel (Projects)
Primary Purpose of the Job:
Provide professional advice and efficient services with respect to: joint venture, sale and purchase, project financing, corporate financing, exploration, development &production sharing, project services, EPC, and feedstock supply agreement.
Draft or review agreements relating to various projects and activities.
Negotiate major agreements with partners, investors, purchasers, contractors and financiers.
Provide advice on legal matters; claim, interpretation of agreements etc.
Education:
JD or LL.B plus specialized studies relating to oil & gas and/or petrochemicals industry, project financing and project management.
Experience:
10-12 years general legal practice of which 7 years relates to oil, gas and/or petrochemical industry in a managerial position. Specific experiences should include project financing, major construction projects sale and purchase agreements, joint venture agreements. etc. all international.
Associate General Counsel
Provide professional advice and efficient services with respect to: Term Sheets, Heads of Agreements, Memoranda and Articles of Association, Joint Venture, Loan, Sale and Purchase, Project Financing, Exploration Development & Production Sharing, Services, EPC and Feedback Supply Agreement, etc. and advise Government Ministries.
Education
Education:
Degree in Law plus postgraduate degree or a post graduate degree in Law including specialised studies relating to the oil & gas industry.
Experience & Skills:
Minimum 15 years experience mostly relating to the oil & gas industry
Specific experience should include Term Sheets, Heads of Agreements, Memoranda and Articles of Association, Joint Venture, Loan, Sale and Purchase, Project Financing, Exploration Development & Production Sharing, Services, EPC and Feedback Supply Agreement, etc.
