University Law Degree (JD or LLB) with 15 years or more professional experience in analyzing, drafting, structuring, negotiating, finalizing and administering engineering consulting, services and construction contracts related to petroleum upstream and downstream activities.
Experience & Skills:
In addition to EPC contracts, relevant experience may include contractual experience with feasibility studies, Pre-FEED and FEED related activities.
Experience in the regulation and administration of tender activities is also useful.
Professional legal experience may be gained either as an in-house lawyer or with a law firm.
Experienced in petroleum related construction contracts.
Senior Counsel (Projects)
Primary Purpose of the Job:
Provide professional advice and efficient services with respect to: joint venture, sale and purchase, project financing, corporate financing, exploration, development &production sharing, project services, EPC, and feedstock supply agreement.
Draft or review agreements relating to various projects and activities.
Negotiate major agreements with partners, investors, purchasers, contractors and financiers.
Provide advice on legal matters; claim, interpretation of agreements etc.
Education:
JD or LL.B plus specialized studies relating to oil & gas and/or petrochemicals industry, project financing and project management.
Experience:
10-12 years general legal practice of which 7 years relates to oil, gas and/or petrochemical industry in a managerial position.
Specific experiences should include project financing, major construction projects sale and purchase agreements, joint venture agreements. etc. all international.
Associate General Counsel (Contracts)
Education:
Degree In law from a university law school combined with a postgraduate degree or a post graduate degree in law.
Experience & Skills:
10-15 years legal experience as in house counsel or with an established law firm with specialization in petroleum industry, litigation or regulatory practice, commercial contracts or project finance.
Expertise in structuring and drafting a broad a broad variety project agreements , including loan agreements.
Proven track record in working effectively as a team leader in multi-cultural and multi discipline environments.
Previous supervisory experience.
Significant negotiation and persuasion skills.
High computer proficiency.
High technical proficiency in basic legal principles (e.g. contracts, torts).
