WEB CONTENT EDITOR
  • Manage overall effectiveness of the website as an integral communication tool by leveraging and interfacing with other RLC departments.
  • Responsible for contents development, management and editorial review to ensure accurate and timely dissemination of news/events/happenings directorate-wide after approval by his direct supervisor.
  • Work closely with various personnel from all RLC departments for website news/events/happenings through effective planning, assignment and coordination of contents among them.
  • Work closely with the Media Officer, PR officer and Community Relations Officer in the preparation of the essential news to publish such as press releases, events, exhibitions, brochures, multimedia tools, etc.
  • Manage and update on day to day basis he website contents based on news/events/happenings provided by various departments.
  • Edit, write and copy write articles including headings, subtitles, captions and tables, etc.
  • Manage and maintain weekly statistics on performance of the website.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • BS/BA in Communications, PR, Marketing Communications, Journalism or related field.
  • Computer / IT qualification preferred.
  • 8+ years experience in an editorial environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential (Arabic skill is a plus)
  • Excellent interpersonal, work coordination and presentation skills.
  • Effective writing and editing skills (Translation skill is a plus)
  • Familiarity with Web production
  • Experience in a corporate Web-publishing environment
  • Experience as a content coordinator, web editor or online producer.

HEAD OF MEDIA

Directs and supervises the activities of the Division responsible for media relations, press releases, audiovisual spot and advertisements, publicattions, translation and annual reports, speech writing, design, artwork and photography, CD protection, electronic banner and presentations, website information display and corporate documentaries.
 
Requirements of the job:

  • University degree in Journalism/Media or its equivalent qualification.
  • Very good command of English and Arabic languages.
  • Computer literate, excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • At least 10 years relevant experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
