Primary Purpose of The Job:
To manage and supervise a multi-discipline Engineering section (Mechanical / Instrument / Electrical) within the Gas Production Department to carry out Projects and Plant Change Requests (PCRs) initiated by the Gas Production Group.
To lead major feasibility studies & concept optimizations.
Provide techno-economic viability of project proposals.
Contributes to the review of Engineering projects and ensure that maintenance requirement, spare parts, design codes, standards and specifications are adequately met.
Coordinate / interface with Engineering / Projects / Consultants / Contractors and relevant QP Department on all Gas Production Projects and Modifications. Review technical documentation of major projects and approve in-house conceptual and retail design.
To ensure engineering advisory and troubleshooting capability to the Operations Group is maintained and functions efficiently. Prepare engineering procedures, review international standards & guidelines & obtain waivers / variations.
To ensure that all modifications are engineered to the Corporation’s and International Design Standards and codes of Practice.
To instigate and monitor financial control systems of the section budget. Prepare strategy / plan for major equipment. Review business plan.
To optimize utilization of Corporation’s resources by coordinating section’s workload with other engineering departments. Plan, schedule and allocate internal resources consistent with department priorities.
Education:
B.Sc Degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Instrument, Electrical and a good knowledge of quality management system.
Experience & Skills:
The positions requires an ability to work with a high degree of independence and initiative, a high level of leadership with the necessary interpersonal skills to create and effective working environment for a multi-disciplinary / multi-cultural team and an ability to manage change, resolve conflicts, motivate members to work as effective teams, to achieve targets and maintain technical excellence.
Minimum 15 years practical experience in installation, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of projects related to the oil/gas/petrochemical industry.
Senior Operations Supervisor
Primary Purpose of the job:
Directs controls and supervises the assigned operating group engaged in Gas Processing and to ensure that NGL, NFGP, GSF, Merox, Storage & loading & all related utility plants are operated and maintained safely and efficiently.
The jobholder assumes the full responsibility for the Gas Processing of his assigned area.
Any wrong decision could result in normally shutdown of any one of NGL/NFGP plants equivalent to QR.2 Million / day or shutdown of Gas Processing, which could result in revenue losses and severe downstream effect to power stations supply.
The effect is also felt in all downstream consumers like QAPCO/QAFCO/QAFAC/QP Refinery/QASCO/QWEC.
Education:
B.Sc. Degree preferably in Chemical Engineering.
Experience:
10 years in Hydrocarbon Processing Industry including at least 3 in a Supervisory position.
