Manages the day to day activities of assigned personnel in the Rotating Equipment Section of Mesaieed Department to ensure proper utilization of manpower and equipment as well as provision of an efficient service to the Operations Department. Monitors work performance of subordinates through regular meetings. Ensures that such works are done on time and in a safe and economical manner.
Manages overall planned maintenance, troubleshooting, major overhaul, condition monitoring, preparation of OSR, spare parts, contract scope of work for activities relating to major rotating equipment within Gas Operations Facilities. Ensures good custody and integrity of plant asset of major rotating equipment.
Forecasts and controls the rotating equipment operation budget, negotiates and manages service contracts (gas turbines, process compressors, turbo-expanders, centrifugal pumps, axial compressors, diesel engines, etc). Provides expert and technical support in all aspects of maintenance and trouble-shooting of rotating equipment. Provide technical support assistance to Qatari staff and developees.
Education:
B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering plus relevant specialist courses in gas turbines/major centrifugal compressors, operation/maintenance/condition monitoring and reliability engineering
Experience and Skills:
Minimum twelve (12) years experience in the maintenance, overhauling, condition monitoring, and troubleshooting of all types of rotating equipment related to the oil/gas/petrochemical industry, with at least 4 years in petrochemical industry.
QA Engineer (Management Systems)
Education:
Bachelor Degree in an Engineering Discipline Formal training in Management Systems development and auditing.
Experience and skills:
10 years in hands-on experience in development, implementation and audit of Management systems in Industries preferably hydrocarbon process industries. Well versatile with all the Standard PC software.
Proven ability to work in cross-functional, multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer
Primary Purpose Of The Job:
Supervises and coordinates the activities of assigned personnel in the routine monitoring of rotating equipment overhauling activities, and undertake a technical troubleshooting investigation of rotating equipments.
Reviews ongoing maintenance work and the stocking levels of material spares necessary to sustain acceptable production levels. Liaises with Operations, project/planning and other engineering personnel to establish the level of maintenance activities both short term and long term; reviews regular operation reports and undertakes site inspection. Recommends on maintenance opportunities during periods of low production demand and on the stocking of critical material/equipment items, taking cognizance of plant operations, manufacturer’s lead times, location and costs. Provides technical engineering input on production related problems and compiles preventive maintenance routines and spare parts inter-changeability records to sustain plant reliability and operability
Participates in preparation for section budget requirement and control and monitor the expenditure.
Assists the Head of Rotating Equipment in reviewing project documents, provide support and assistance required for Engineering Group
Education:
B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering plus relevant specialist courses in Gas Turbines/major centrifugal compression operation/maintenance.
Experience:
Ten (10) years experience in the maintenance, overhauling, installation and commissioning of all types of rotating equipment related to the oil/gas/petrochemical industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
