Supervises and coordinates the activities of assigned personnel in the routine monitoring of rotating equipment overhauling activities, and undertake a technical troubleshooting investigation of rotating equipments.
Reviews ongoing maintenance work and the stocking levels of material spares necessary to sustain acceptable production levels. Liaises with Operations, project/planning and other engineering personnel to establish the level of maintenance activities both short term and long term; reviews regular operation reports and undertakes site inspection. Recommends on maintenance opportunities during periods of low production demand and on the stocking of critical material/equipment items, taking cognizance of plant operations, manufacturer’s lead times, location and costs. Provides technical engineering input on production related problems and compiles preventive maintenance routines and spare parts inter-changeability records to sustain plant reliability and operability
Participates in preparation for section budget requirement and control and monitor the expenditure.
Assists the Head of Rotating Equipment in reviewing project documents, provide support and assistance required for Engineering Group
Education:
B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering plus relevant specialist courses in Gas Turbines/major centrifugal compression operation/maintenance.
Experience:
• Ten (10) years experience in the maintenance, overhauling, installation and commissioning of all types of rotating equipment related to the oil/gas/petrochemical industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
Good knowledge of spoken and written English.
